不少人看到这个词，就想到了它的意思--人物，譬如：Churchill is an important historical figure.（丘吉尔是一个要紧的历史人物。）

但figure还可以表示想、觉得、猜想；假如think已经被你用滥，那样figure是一个非常不错的替代词。

请看例子：

I figure she doesnt want to be bothered, so I might as well leave her alone.

我猜想她不想被打扰，所以我可以还是让她一个人静一静。
